Safety Camera Deployment 21st January - 27th January 2012

Tayside Safety Camera Partnership (TSCP) continues to target safety camera activity at sites with a history of collisions and evidence of speeding drivers. For the period commencing Saturday 21st January to Friday 27th January 2012, there will be safety camera activity on the A9 Stirling to Perth and Inverness and the A90 Perth to Dundee and Aberdeen.

Additional mobile enforcement will take place during the week at the following locations and routes detailed below.

Angus: A92 Arbroath to Montrose Route; A933 Arbroath to Brechin Route; A935 Brechin to Montrose Route; A923 Muirhead to Coupar Angus Road at Piperdam; B954 Muirhead to Newtyle Road.

Dundee: B961 Drumgeith Road; C221 Strathmartine Road; C231 Charleston Drive; C241 Broughty Ferry Road; A92 East Dock Street; A92 Greendykes Road; A972 Kingsway East; A90 Kingsway; A90 Forfar Road.

Perth & Kinross: A977 Kinross to Crook of Devon Road at Balado; A91 Milnathort to Carnbo Road at Dalqueich; A923 Blairgowrie to Muirhead Route; A93 Old Scone to Blairgowrie Road at Meikleour; A94 Scone to Coupar Angus Route.

* Please note that the deployment schedule may change according to operational priorities and road and weather conditions.

1. The TSCP was launched in July 2003 and is comprised of Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth and Kinross Council, the Scottish Government and Tayside Police and is supported by NHS Tayside, Tayside Fire and Rescue and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
2. The Partners work together to reduce collisions and casualties in Tayside by encouraging motorists to observe speed limits and alter their attitude and behaviour on the road.
3. Safety cameras are operated at sites with a history of collisions and evidence of speeding.
