FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA)
The full force of FOISA comes into being on 1st January 2005. The Act gives the general public a right of access to recorded information held by Scottish public authorities.
Although
the Tayside Safety Camera Partnership (TSCP) does not qualify as a public
authority, it's member partners do. Therefore, in the interests of
openness, the TSCP will act as much as possible like a public body in relation
to the Act.
The
TSCP is not required by the Act to establish a publication scheme but the
intention is to make available as much public interest information as possible
via this website from 1st January 2005 onwards. Should
the information that you are looking for not be contained within the website,
please contact the partnership office on 01382 596363 (your request must
ultimately be in writing) and we will respond within 20 working days in accordance
with the Act.
Please note:
- When requesting information, please include your name, address (email or postal) and telephone number, the information you would like to access and how you would like it provided (e.g. email or hardcopy - paper or CD etc.)
- If
the TSCP holds the information requested, we will provide it. If
it does not hold the information we will do our best to assist
by advising you which agency may hold it.
- Most information will be made available free of charge, however if a fee does apply in relation to a request, we will inform you in writing and release the information following receipt of payment.
- There
may be occasions where information requested may not be able
to be released in part or at all under the Act's agreed exemptions. This
will be confirmed in writing in each instance.
- We will withhold personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998.
- If you are dissatisfied with a response given, you have the right to appeal by writing to us and, if still dissatisfied, to then contact the Scottish Information Commissioner at enquiries@itspublicknowledge.info or
via 01334 464610. As the TSCP is not a public authority,
any subsequent successful appeal directed to the Scottish Information
Commissioner would involve the appropriate member partner and
not the TSCP directly.
